The British Library’s 2023 exhibition ‘Animals: Art, Science, and Sound’ displays the oldest and best kept artworks and recordings of the animal kingdom.

We created an immersive 80-second loop of British nocturnal wildlife, taking inspiration from Victorian illustrations and scientific journals. The animation was then projected onto a five-by-four-metre space on the ceiling. The projection screen takes a bespoke shape that turns the space into an immersive cave-like opening, where visitors can observe the animals that wake when night falls.
